a Kerala where socialism with meritocracy go hand in hand

The reports of LDF winning with more than 100 seats in the Kerala assembly polls 2016, I thought of letter addressed to VS - the future CM of  Kerala.

I have a dream!a Kerala where socialism with meritocracy go hand in hand. A society which respects hard work & talent with caring for the poor and down-trodden. A place were we have the best airports, seaports and metro connecting road infrastructure along with thick forest cover and wonderful wildlife. We have institutes of world repute for higher education in arts, agriculture, science, politics, engineering, film, management and medicine along with wonderful government (low cost but high quality) schools where kids love to go to play, enjoy and learn. We have skyscrapers with beautiful green gardens and open spaces to breathe fresh air and grounds for children to play.

In short a place where people live with harmony with nature a place where there is work and life balance. People have opportunity to do what they like and excel with hard work and talent and a system which never promotes laziness and salary is never taken for granted.  At the same time we a good cradle to grave network to support the poor and down-trodden.

Yes, it will need tough decisions, great planning and a huge team co-ordination to implement these concepts on ground and execute them so that the society embraces socialism with meritocracy with both hands.

Yes we will have to identify our strengths and weakness and set strategic vision and goals accordingly.

strengths- human resources-world best-we can excel in education sector, medical tourism, IT, electronics assembly, town planning.Forrest safari, fisheries
weakness- electricity, less open area, high population density-we can not excel in hi-tech, heavy industry, high chemical/polymer production can be failure.

Those who have power to change things don't bother to;and those who bother don't have the power to do so .................but I think It is a very thin line that divides the two and I am walking on that.Well is pure human nature to think that "I am the best and my ideas unquestionable"...it is human EGO and sometimes it is very important for survival of the fittest and too much of it may attract trouble.Well here you decide where do I stand.I say what I feel.
