Veruthe Oru Bhariya::Movie::Review

Worth A Watch+

Review-"Veruthe Oru Bhariya" (Malayalam)

Movie: Veruthe Oru Bhariya
Director: Akku Akbar
Cast:Jairam,Gopika,Innocent,Neveditha,Sooraj Venjrandmoodu

The movie ends with "Veruthe alla Bhariya"

The story line is easy to guess and think.Nothing so special.

The story revolves around a family of three-Husband wife and their teenage daughter.The story is very predictive-the wife is sick (comedy) of her husband and she leaves him and her daughter behind (pain) to her father's house.The family goes through a crisis (agony) and they unite again for a common cause -their daughter.Happy ending!

Movie-Negatives:Overacting by Gopika (Bindu as wife of Sugunan)Audience can't accept Sugunan (Jairam) becoming mentally unstable.Some moments when the scriptwriter/director stretches his characters and story to extremes!Loss of focus-with director trying to make so much points in the movie-from effect of Reality shows to misuse of mobile phones and Internet by teenagers, from woman being independent and employed to men making so much efforts to make two ends meet.Lack of electricity in Kerala to basic socialist principles.From Commercialisation and globalisation to the right teaching methodology.So much so that in the first chance when I saw the movie I didn't understand and enjoy it well.But when I watched it again I felt better and enjoyed the movie.

Movie-Feel good factors:Gopika looks beautiful no I didn't mean sexy.Just because of her figure she doesn't look 33! Jairam delivers a very good performence after a really long time - I think.The song Jairam mimics different actors is really superb.Don't miss that. Nevedita (as Anjana (anju) as the teenage daughter) is also good.All supporting actors have done their part pretty well.Sooraj Venjrandmoodu ROCKS! But I felt somewhere something lacking.....might be the background score or music??!

Special:But What I really liked was Innocent (as Bindu's father).He is much more mature and simply steals the screen space even with his 7 scenes.I felt his dialogues are the essence of the movie.

Story-telling:The whole story is told in form of narration even though not narrative but through dialogues.It is bit exaggerated.In the end the director also explains why Sungunan is the way he his as in very movie the hero as to be justified for his negative shades.

Over all a good watch! Now-a-days you don't get anything better-so enjoy!

Those who have power to change things don't bother to;and those who bother don't have the power to do so .................but I think It is a very thin line that divides the two and I am walking on that.Well is pure human nature to think that "I am the best and my ideas unquestionable"...it is human EGO and sometimes it is very important for survival of the fittest and too much of it may attract trouble.Well here you decide where do I stand.I say what I feel.
